The Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) charges fees for security clearance vetting. These fees are reviewed annually by the AGSVA Governance Board.
A partial cost recovery model is applied. Fees are only charged for the security clearance assessment, upgrade and revalidation processes. No fees are charged to maintain a security clearance.
Security clearance fees are charged to the sponsoring entity, not the security clearance assessment applicant or security clearance holder.
Vetting fees do not include costs relating to the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation’s personnel security assessments.
